What is the difference between UK and EU trademark monitoring?

UK monitoring scans the UK IPO register (3.87 million trademarks). EU monitoring scans the EUIPO register (3.15 million trademarks). Since Brexit, these are completely separate registers. A UK trademark gives no protection in the EU and vice versa. Starter plans include UK only. Business plans and above include both UK and EU monitoring.
